Garnacho was asked to pick his preferred team between the two Spanish giants. Despite spending a spell in Atletico Madrid youth academy, Garnacho chose Los Blancos, replying: “Real Madrid, simple”. The 19-year-old has been vocal about his admiration for former Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. Garnacho has replicated Ronaldo’s celebration after scoring goals for United. He even had the privilege of playing alongside his role model at United after Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford in 2021.

DAILY POST reports that the veteran actor died of cardiac arrest on Saturday, at 62. In a viral clip on the internet, Mr Ibu’s body is being wheeled out of the mortuary by the hospital staff. His two sons, Daniel and Valentine Okafor were present with his wife Stella. Stella was spotted dressed in all black as she watched her husband’s body being moved away amid tears.

Edun disclosed this on Wednesday during an interface with the Senate Committee on Finance. According to him, the Ways and Means loans of N22.7 trillion under the past administration were done aimlessly. He further stated that the alleged reckless spending of the overdraft collected from the CBN under Emefiele largely accounted for the country’s food and security crises.   A man who was said to have found a bag containing over N100 million and returned it to the owner has been rewarded over his action, it was gathered on Sunday, March 3. Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami, who announced the development on his X handle @ProfIsaPantami on Sunday, said the man, Salihu Abdulhadi Kankia from Katsina State, is a member of an Islamic organization known as JIBWIS. News Over 91 million bank accounts at risk of deactivation as CBN’s BVN/NIN deadline expires As the March 1 deadline set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the linkage of bank accounts with either the Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identity Number (NIN) expires, approximately 91 million bank accounts face the risk of being frozen. The CBN had directed commercial banks to restrict tier-1 accounts without proper BVN or NIN linkage. The directive, issued on December 1, 2023, outlined the immediate placement of unfunded accounts on ‘Post No Debit or Credit,’ with funded accounts scheduled to face the same restriction effective March 1, 2024. Banks intensified efforts over the weekend, sending final reminders to depositors to utilize digital platforms or visit branches for the necessary BVN/NIN linkage to avoid the potential freezing of their accounts.
