New Super Eagles Coach to Receive Two(2) Years Contract and AFCON 2025 Semi-final Target

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to announce the appointment of a new head coach for the Super Eagles, with a two-year contract and a semifinal target at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on the cards.

According to Soccernet.ng, the yet-to-be-named coach will be tasked with leading the team to at least the semifinals of the next AFCON tournament, which is scheduled to take place in 2025. This target is similar to the one set for the previous coach, Jose Peseiro, who led the team to the quarterfinals of the last AFCON tournament before being eliminated by Palancas Negras of Angola.

The new coach will be expected to build on the progress made by Peseiro and take the team to the next level, with a focus on developing a strong and competitive squad that can challenge for major honors. The two-year contract is seen as a vote of confidence in the new coach, giving them the time and resources needed to implement their vision and build a successful team.

The appointment of a new coach is seen as a crucial step in the development of Nigerian football, with the Super Eagles aiming to regain their status as one of the top teams in African football. With the right leadership and support, the team has the talent and potential to achieve great things, and fans will be hoping that the new coach can lead them to success in the years ahead.
