Southern Senatorial Elders Endorse Governor Ayade For Second Term

Elders from the southern senatorial district of cross river state, have thrown their weight behind the second term re-election bid of the State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade for what they described as appreciation for the numerous projects his government has sited in the district.
Rising from an enlarged meeting, which cuts across party lines in Calabar, the elders unanimously applauded what they described as Governor Ayade's vision to transform the state inspite of its lean resources.
The elders who comprised politicians, traditional Rulers, Academic Professors and other professionals including a top memeber of the APC, Emmanuel Nsan said the Southern Cross River is waiting for 2023 after eight years of Governor Ayade who is from northern cross river before it will be their turn.
Responding, Governor Ayade who described the endorsement as a new year surprise to him said  his  good records , performance,  neutrality and fairness to all, given the little resources accrued to the state may have touched the elders minds for the surprise.
AIT's Rasheed Olanrewaju reports that Governor Ayade assured the elders that the continuity endorsement was a call to service which he accepted with humility.
