Emmanuel Amunike speaks After Losing Super Eagles Job to Finidi George

Former Super Eagles international, Emmanuel Amunike has spoken after he lost the Super Eagles job to Finidi George earlier this week. According to a report by Punch, Emmanuel Amunike said that his name was smeared because of the fact that he was interested in becoming the new coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Punch reports that Emmanuel Amunike said that "they succeeded in smearing my name in the media because of the Super Eagles job. They can continue with their propaganda but I will remain disciplined".

It should be said that Emmanuel Amunike was considered as one of the favourites for the Super Eagles job. However, the Nigeria Football Federation decided to appoint Finidi George instead of Emmanuel Amunike. Finidi George is also a former Super Eagles star. He recently served as an assistant coach under the management of former Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro. Finidi George also served as the interim manager of the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the month of March

FG announce plans to deploy the first batch of CNG Vehicles ahead of first anniversary of Tinubu in office on May 29th 2024. Said N100 billion was allocated to purchase 5,500 CNG vehicles, 100 electric buses, and over 20,000 CNG conversion kits. An application filed by former President Goodluck Jonathan before the Federal High Court in Abuja has revealed further reasons why he wants to be excused from appearing as a witness in defence of a former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh. Metuh is standing trial on charges involving, among others, the N400m he (Metuh) received from the Office of the National Security Adviser in 2014.
