Omokacki may now head U23s after missing out on Super Eagles

Former Nigerian international Daniel Amokachi may be set to take the reins of the country's U23 national team, according to ScoreNigeria the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)

Amokachi, who was a strong contender for the Super Eagles coaching job, missed out on the position to Finidi George. However, his experience and credentials have not gone unnoticed, and he is now being considered to lead the U23 team.

This development comes as no surprise, given Amokachi's impressive coaching resume. He has previously helmed the U23 team, assisted Stephen Keshi during Nigeria's AFCON-winning campaign in 2013, and also led the CHAN Eagles. His wealth of experience and knowledge of the Nigerian football landscape make him an ideal candidate for the U23 role.

Moreover, Amokachi's recent stint as a Presidential aide on sports in the federal government has given him a unique understanding of the political dynamics surrounding Nigerian football. This insight, combined with his technical expertise, makes him a strong contender to lead the U23 team to success.

The NFF is expected to make an official announcement soon, and if confirmed, Amokachi will be tasked with guiding the U23 team through the upcoming qualifiers and tournaments. His appointment would be a popular choice among Nigerian football fans, who have always admired his passion and dedication to the country's football development.

As the U23 team prepares for the challenges ahead, Amokachi's experience and leadership could be the catalyst for success. His ability to motivate and inspire young players would be invaluable, and his understanding of the Nigerian football system would help him navigate the complexities of the role.
